Egypt’s Decent Life projects in Qalyubia near completion

Egypt’s Qalyubia Governorate is witnessing a development boom, with 90 per cent of sanitation projects, 85 per cent of internal road paving, and 70 per cent of educational and youth facilities now completed under the presidential Haya Karima (Decent Life) initiative.

Local Development Minister Manal Awad reviewed these achievements during an extended meeting with the Governor of Qalyubia, where they also discussed future investment plans for the governorate. Awad stressed the ministry’s commitment to finalising all ‘Decent Life’ projects within the coming months.

The discussions covered key issues such as maintaining the availability of essential goods at affordable prices through one-day markets and retail outlets, and advancing Phase IV of the Ahl Masr Walkway project in Benha as a recreational space for residents. Plans also include establishing a vehicle impound facility in Khanka with investments totalling 210 million Egyptian pounds.

The meeting explored promising investment opportunities, including the optimal use of unexploited assets, strengthening private sector partnerships, and further developing existing industrial zones.
