Asia-Pacific markets trade mixed on Wednesday

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Wednesday as investors assessed global bond yield increases and trade developments.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 0.6 per cent, China’s CSI 300 declined 0.68 per cent, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 dropped 1.82 per cent.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.88 per cent, while South Korea’s Kospi added 0.38 per cent. In India, the Nifty 50 increased 0.23 per cent and the BSE Sensex ticked up 0.12 per cent as of 1:50 a.m. IST (4:20 a.m. ET).
