Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.62 per cent to 37,909.61 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged 1.29 per cent to 3,834.11 points.
- The index EGX35-LV advanced 1.57 per cent to 4,267.71 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose 1.82 per cent to 11,866.52 points.
- The EGX100 index scaled up by 1.55 per cent to 15,601.93 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,718,236,547,175 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 84,687,050 pounds and 12,878,772 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians net sellers with total of 97,565,822 pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Medical Packaging Company jumped 20.00 per cent to 1.680 pounds a share.
- Shares of Cleopatra Hospital Company climbed 9.91 per cent to 12.870 pounds a share.
- Shares of Copper for Commercial Investment and Real Estate Development soared 8.91 per cent to 1.100 pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Sinai Cement dived 3.40 per cent to 66.170 pounds a share.
- Shares of Upper Egypt Flour Mills sank 3.18 per cent to 530.080 pounds a share.
- Shares of U Consumer Finance lost 2.27 per cent to 7.750 pounds a share.
