Egypt’s Cabinet on Wednesday approved a presidential decree to implement a joint project with South Korea aimed at developing green vehicle maintenance technology for vocational training centres, the government said in a statement.
The seven-year project, to be carried out by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) under the Ministry of Industry, will cover the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Gharbia, and Alexandria. It seeks to modernise automotive maintenance training to meet labour market needs and support the transition to eco-friendly technologies.
The initiative includes updating competency-based curricula, training managers and instructors, and equipping centres with modern tools and facilities. It also promotes stronger collaboration between training institutions and industrial partners to align skills development with the evolving automotive industry.
