Egypt c.bank backs new generation of bankers with Future Leaders graduation

Egypt’s central bank reaffirmed on Wednesday its commitment to developing human capital in the banking sector as Governor Hassan Abdalla attended the graduation ceremony for four cohorts of the Future Leaders Programme at the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI).

The event marked the graduation of 93 young professionals from cohorts 32 to 35 of the long-running training initiative, launched three decades ago to prepare future leaders for Egypt’s financial system.

The ceremony was also attended by Central Bank of Egypt Deputy Governors Rami Aboulnaga and Tarek El-Kholy, along with EBI Executive Director Abdel Aziz Nossier, and senior officials from across the banking sector.

The EBI, established in 1991 as the CBE’s training arm, provides technical and managerial education aligned with international standards. Its Future Leaders Programme blends theoretical and practical modules in leadership, banking sciences, and financial technology, and includes international visits to global financial institutions.

Since its inception, the programme has produced hundreds of graduates who now hold senior positions across Egypt’s banks, reflecting the institute’s success in shaping a skilled and competitive workforce to support sector growth.
