Egypt’s Central Bank Governor Hassan Abdalla met on Tuesday with Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom to strengthen coordination in support of macroeconomic stability and the state’s development objectives.
According to the CBE statement, the meeting reviewed the latest developments in economic performance indicators in light of the economic reform programme implemented by the Egyptian state, alongside frameworks for coordination between monetary and economic policies. Discussions also covered efforts to implement the Sustainable Development Plan and Egypt Vision 2030 to boost growth rates and create sustainable employment opportunities.
Both sides stressed the importance of maintaining effective coordination between the Central Bank and the Ministry of Planning to ensure a balance between monetary stability and advancing economic development. They also emphasised supporting development projects, stimulating investment, and generating sustainable job opportunities. This contributes to balanced and sustainable economic growth.
