Egypt opens phase 11 of Beit El-Watan Project for citizens abroad

Egypt’s Ministry of Housing on Tuesday said it will begin accepting bank transfers from Egyptians living abroad next Sunday, 15 March, as part of preparations for Phase 11 of the Beit El-Watan housing project.

The new phase will offer 3,600 plots in prime locations across several new cities, the ministry said, aiming to give as many Egyptians abroad as possible the opportunity to own and build homes in their homeland. Transfers from applicants will be recorded as account balances, helping to streamline the booking process and overcome common obstacles in international bank transactions.

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Randa El-Menshawy highlighted the project’s success since its launch in 2012, noting that it has offered thousands of plots and housing units to Egyptians abroad and received widespread demand and appreciation.

Deputy Minister Walid Abbas said transfers must include one of the current reservation codes from the project’s website as a reference until the site is updated with the new plots. Once updated, applicants will have the option to increase their balances before reservations officially open, securing priority allocation.

The ministry will accept transfers until 1 May, as it prepares to launch the new phase.
