Eni commits $2 bln to Egypt in 2026 as Cairo targets gas output boost
Italy’s Eni plans to invest $2 billion in Egypt during 2026, its Chief Operating Officer Guido Brusco said Monday, as Cairo moves to boost natural gas production and attract foreign investment.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met Brusco on the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2026), emphasising the government’s commitment to a business-friendly environment for international energy firms. “Eni is a highly reliable partner, and we look forward to accelerating production from its gas projects to meet growing domestic demand,” Madbouly said.
Brusco said Eni plans to continue exploration and production activities, expand output from existing fields, and strengthen exports, while building on its strategic partnership with Cairo.
