Sisi, Madbouly review economic priorities

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly to review a wide range of political, economic, and social priorities, with a focus on reinforcing efforts to secure strategic commodities for sufficient periods and maintain economic stability.

The discussions addressed expanding social protection, supporting vulnerable groups, and advancing development across key sectors, including education and health, alongside investment promotion, export growth, and the localisation of industries under Egypt’s Vision 2030 framework.

The President stressed continued efforts to contain inflation while sustaining higher spending on health, education, and social protection, as well as maintaining close monitoring of markets and ensuring the steady availability of food supplies.

He also reviewed preparations for the inauguration of the new campus of Senghor University in Borg El Arab City in May, a project reflecting strengthened cooperation between Egypt and its international partners and supporting capacity building and development in Africa through an integrated educational environment for students from African and Francophone countries.
