EGX closes in green area on 3 May

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.

The benchmark index, EGX30, climbed by 1.07 per cent, to 52,312.7 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 1.86 per cent to 5,642.96 points.

The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.64 per cent to 5,853.21 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 1.96 per cent to 14,303.84 points.

The EGX100 index leaped by 1.80 per cent to 19,943.47 points.

The total market cap reached 3,717,054,492,893 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 1,726,878,968 Egyptian pounds. On the other hand, the Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,513,764,501 pounds and 213,114,466 pounds, respectively.

Top gainers on Sunday

  1. The shares of Subscription Rights Of South Valley Cement -1 surged by 57.20 per cent, closing at 4.260 Egyptian pounds per share.
  2. The shares of Subscription Rights Of Alexandria New Medical Center -2 rose by 27.48 per cent reaching 51.820 Egyptian pounds per share.
  3. The shares of South Valley Cement went up by 19.87 per cent to close at 9.350 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Sunday

  1. The shares of Northern Upper Egypt Development & Agricultural Production went down by 4.93 per cent to close at 2.890 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation dropped by 4.74 per cent to close at 377.380 per cent a share.
  3. The shares of Misr Oils & Soap sank by 4.02 per cent, to close at 293.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
