The US dollar traded in a narrow band against the Egyptian pound in midday dealings on Thursday, signalling ongoing stability in Egypt’s foreign exchange market, according to compiled data from major banks.
As of 13:01 local time (10:01 GMT), the dollar showed little variation across leading lenders, with most banks quoting similar rates for buying and selling.
Buying rates ranged between 53.35 and 53.49 pounds, while selling prices stood between 53.45 and 53.59 pounds.
