Egypt’s PM extends Sunday remote work scheme for government employees through June

Egypt’s Cabinet approved the extension of a remote work arrangement requiring employees at certain government entities and institutions to work from home on Sundays throughout June, according to a government statement on Wednesday.

The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, extended the provisions of Cabinet Decision No. 982 of 2026, which introduced the weekly remote work scheme.

Under the arrangement, employees covered by the decision will continue to work remotely every Sunday during June, the statement added.
