The ready-made garments industry also recorded growth, with its index reaching 248.77 in April, compared with 213.55 in March, representing an increase of 16.49 per cent to meet market demand. Meanwhile, the food products industry index declined by 6.16 per cent to 170.07 in April from 181.24 in March due to seasonal agricultural factors.
