URGENT: Egypt’s c.bank keeps interest rates unchanged

Egypt’s central bank kept its key interest rates unchanged on Thursday, maintaining its overnight deposit rate at 19.00 per cent, overnight lending rate at 20.00 per cent, and main operation rate at 19.50 per cent.

The Central Bank of Egypt’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) also kept the discount rate unchanged at 19.5 per cent, citing its assessment of current inflation dynamics and the evolving economic outlook since its previous meeting.
