Egypt’s gold reserves hit $19.058 bln in August – CBE

Egypt’s gold reserves rose 11.2 per cent month on month to $19.058 billion at the end of August from $17.139 billion in July, provisional Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data showed on Monday.

Gold holdings increased by $1.919 billion from the previous month, according to the data.

Egypt’s net international reserves also rose to a new record $57.215 billion at the end of August from a record $56.294 billion a month earlier.
