Kafr El-Sheikh completes Haya Karima first phase – Madbouly
Egypt’s Kafr El-Sheikh governorate has completed all projects under the first phase of the presidential Haya Karima rural development initiative and begun work on the second phase, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Saturday.
The second phase will focus particularly on sanitation projects in targeted areas, Madbouly said during a tour of the governorate.
He inspected the expansion of the Northern Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Motobas, a Haya Karima project serving more than 130,000 residents.
Madbouly said the initiative had significantly improved living conditions in rural areas and described it as “truly the greatest project of the 21st century” in Egypt.
