Two Military Officers Killed In Egypt Sharqiya Shooting

Two military officers were killed and three other military personnel were injured in Egypt’s governorate of Sharqiya Tuesday evening after unidentified assailants attacked an army vehicle, spokesman for the Sharqiya Security Directorate, Yasser Farouk, confirmed to Ahram’s Arabic news website.

Farouk said that the attack took place in the district of El-Salheya in the Delta city and the assailants used machine guns.

Armed attacks on security units have been reportedly taking place regularly across the country since Egyptian security forces launched a crackdown on supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.
