Security forces arrested on Saturday three accused in executing the attack on Giza’s Kerdasa police station on 14 August, which resulted in the death of 11 police officers.
Those arrested included the main accused Mohamed Aly Ghozlan in addition to two of his relatives, reported Al-Ahram’s Arabic news website.
The attack on Kerdasa police station took place last month, and was allegedly carried out by Islamist militants, after the violent dispersal of two pro-Morsi protest camps in Cairo and Giza.
On 19 September, army and police forces raided Kerdasa in search of suspects, during which a senior police official was killed in an exchange of fire with armed groups.
The Ministry of Interior said dozens of weapons, including three RPG’s, were seized.
The arrest toll for this case has reached 104 suspects.
