Gold prices in Egypt steadied on Sunday since the Twenty-four carat gold is sold for EGP 296.56; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold scored EGP 259.51.
The 18-carat gold reached EGP 222.45 today.
Nady Naguib – member of the gold traders chamber – attributed the stability in the prices of gold in Egypt to the fact that the global gold exchanges closed trading last Friday and will resume activities on Monday. For the global gold exchanges trading, the gold futures jumped to a high of US$ 1336.75 an ounce on Friday.
