Speaking to the Gulf-Egyptian Investment Forum 2013 kicked off in Cairo on Wednesday, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Cooperation Ziad Baha El-Din announced that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is planning to sign agreements to finance 5 enterprises by the beginning of 2014.
This comes in accordance with the EBRD’s plans to assist the Egyptian economy during its transitional phase.
Baha El-Din further stated that EBRD is set to provide financial assistance to 5 enterprises including El Shabab Power Plant and Damietta West Power Plant with US$ 165 million and US$ 25 million, respectively.
