Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Cairo Monday in a formal visit that will last for several days. It is his second to Egypt in 2014.
Blair is going to meet a number of Egyptian officials during his stay in Cairo. He will discuss the current situation in Egypt and the Middle East.
In January 2014, Blair visited Cairo and met with interim President Adly Mansour and Field Marshal Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, and announced that he backed Egypt’s political roadmap adopted after the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi on 3 July.
