Egypt’s Parliament rules out Former Regime’s Candidates

Proposals and Complaints Committee approved today, Monday, on the bill which to prevent the former regime’s leaders from running in the presidential elections. This bill was provided by Esam Sultan, the parliamentary bloc of New Center Party chairman, to Dr. Saad Al Katatni, PA’s chairman.

On his side, counselor Hatem Bagato, Secretariat of the Presidential Elections Commission, assured that the committee will ban any official who worked during the last 5 years of the former regime to run for president, in case of not approving the bill; which presented by Sultan.
