Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab is due to pay a two-day visit to Equatorial Guinea on May 8-9. Mahlab’s visit aims for bolstering bilateral ties between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea in addition to reviewing other issues related to the African continent.
In this respect, the Egyptian prime minister is scheduled to begin a three-day tour to Chad and Tanzania starting from next Thursday, April 24. Since being one of the Nile basin states, Mahlab plans to tackle with Tanzanian officials the Ethiopian Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) file and its impact on the waters shares of the Nile.
