Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will arrive in Algeria on Wednesday in his first foreign visit since taking office earlier in June, reported the state news agency.
Sisi is scheduled to meet with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and discuss regional issues and international developments with him.
“This visit comes in the light of the brotherhood ties between the people of Egypt and Algeria, where various aspects of bilateral relations in politics and economy will be reviewed with the aim of development,” a statement issued by the presidency has said.
After leaving Algeria, Sisi is going to Equatorial Guinea to participate in African Union summit’s 23rd session that will begin on Thursday and last for two days.
