Etisalat Egypt ,Ericsson Ink MoU to Boost Customer Experience

In order to deliver an improved experience to their customers in Egypt, Etisalat Egypt has chosen to continue their successful partnership with Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Ericsson ‘s headquarters in Sweden. The renewed collaboration will strengthen the existing partnership in mobile broadband and customer experience.

As part of the MoU, Ericsson will optimize the performance and boost the capacity of Etisalat network, ,using Ericsson ‘sinnovativeheterogeneous network solutions. Ericsson ‘s combination of macro and small cell solutions will address the increase in mobile broadband traffic andelevate service performance.This will also enable Etisalat Egypt to address videotraffic demand in dense urban environments where it may not be practical to find additional sites for macro cells.

Customer experience is increasingly important as a point of differentiation for operators. As part of this collaboration, Ericsson will also support Etisalat with the development of new key Quality indicators, which will measure the end user experience. By analyzing the gathered data, Etisalat will be empowered with the ability to better serve its end-users’ needs.

Ericsson will support Etisalat Egypt in the transition from network-centric key performance indicators (KPIs) to user-centric key quality indicators (KQIs), bringing in new ideas for enhancing user experience based on global best practices. Audits will be performed on different elements of Etisalat Egypt’s network, with recommendations given to enhance the network’s overall performance in order to deliver a higher end-user experience.

The MoU was signed as part of a business visit to Ericsson ‘s headquarters, where Ericsson showcased its latest offerings and solutions to Etisalat Egypt’s top management.
