Egypt’s leading construction firm, Arab Contractors Company (AC) is currently in charge of the implementation of three major industrial zones in Algeria, said head of African sector Ashraf Rateb.
He further told Amwal Al Ghad that AC is implementing utilities and water utilities alongside other infrastructure works for the three Algerian industrial zones at total cost of US$180 million.
Ac is due to deliver the first and second industrial zones within the coming phase, he noted. The Egyptian company is planning to deliver its entire works in the Algerian industrial zones project by end of 2017.
In addition to the Algerian new industrial zones project, AC is also carrying out another mega housing project in the Algerian capital worth around US$50-60 million, the Egyptian official elaborated. The company has recently signed a contract with the Algerian authorities to carry out housing compounds, which aim to provide around 1500 units.
Moreover, Arab Contractors is currently looking forward to increasing its presence in the African markets through involving in more projects, notably in areas of road and housing sectors.
