Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues rise to $422 million in April

Revenues from Egypt’s Suez Canal reached $422.1 million last April, according to official data released on Wednesday.

The international waterway, which is the fastest shipping route between Europe and Asia, saw $420.1 million in revenues during the previous month, according to the Egyptian cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC).

The Suez Canal is one of the main sources of foreign currency for Egypt.
