Protesters clashed with soldiers from the Third Egyptian Army Division in the late hours of Friday night, Ahram Online reported.
The demonstrators and the soldiers faced off at the Governorate Capitol which is adjacent to the headquarters of the police department.
The army has reportedly used batons in an attempt to disperse the crowd, and arrested five protesters.
No immediate count of injuries is available.
The clashes in Suez come at the end of a day-long bloody clashes between the army and protesters in Cairo which left hundreds injured and at least one dead, and saw Egypt’s ruling military council imposing an overnight curfew in parts of the capital.
