Travelstart, a leading online travel agency in Egypt, has launched its Arabic language travel services portal, bringing its online services to a broader segment of the Egyptian market.
The agency was awarded the “Best Online Travel Agency” for the second consecutive year by Amadeus Egypt this year for its English language online services.
“Our vision has always been to introduce online services in Arabic, making it easier for Egyptians to book and purchase travel services in their native language, and we’re very pleased to now bring this service to market,” said Ahmed Saadeddine, country manager of Travelstart Egypt.
“Travelstart’s focus on tech-savvy, adventurous customers that demand sophisticated online tools has proved very successful for us with almost 300 percent increase in sales over the past year. We hope that the introduction of our Arabic services will boost sales further.”
With nearly 45 million Internet users in Egypt and a fast-growing travel services market, Travelstart’s Arabic / English website is ideally positioned to capitalise on future growth. According to leading online payment service provider PayFort, Egypt’s online ticket purchases in Egypt are expected to grow from $1.9 billion in 2014 to $2.8 billion by 2020, a statement said.
“Our efficient and user-friendly online travel services are supported by our Egyptian customer service team 7 days per week, making it easy for business and leisure customers to book and complete payment transactions at a time convenient to them,” said Saadeddine. “The new Arabic portal enhances the customer experience further, giving us the opportunity to expand our customer base. Egyptian customers have already booked more than 40,000 flights via Travelstart this year.”
With 2014 sales totaling over E£30 million, ticket purchases increasing by 263 per cent and unique website visitors surpassing 1.2 million, Travelstart Egypt has demonstrated that Egyptian customers respond very positively to innovative online services and high levels of customer service.
Travelstart Egypt’s Arabic language travel booking website follows the launch of neXt – an Internet booking management programme for independent travel consultants.
Travelstart Egypt, a subsidiary of Travelstart.co.za, provides modern travellers with what they crave: a robust, integrated platform that comes with the tools and interface to make researching, planning, and booking travel easy, it said.
