Egyptian Post takes part in Universal Postal Union Switzerland meetings

Egyptian Post Authority is to take part in the meetings of Universal Postal Union’s (UPU) Council of Administration (CA) with a mission headed by Essam el-Sagheer- authority’s chairman.

The 2015 CA session – started from 26 October- is taking place in Berne, Switzerland and is set to be finished on 13 November 2015.

El- Sagheer stated Sunday that those meetings are a good chance to discuss all topics related to the Egyptian post and to coordinate with other UPU’s member countries.

The Council of Administration (CA) consists of 41 member countries and meets annually at UPU headquarters in Berne.

The CA has the power to approve proposals by the Postal Operations Council for the adoption of regulations or new procedures until the next Congress. The Universal Postal Congress convenes every four years.
