Egyptian Ministry of Trade targets boosting volume of intra trade between Egypt and Algeria to US$5 billion within the coming two years, Trade Minister Plenipotentiary to Algeria Sherif Fathy said Saturday.
He added that the efforts exerted by Egypt’s commercial office in Algeria participated in increasing state’s deals with Algerian markets to record around US$1.2 billion, of which $550 million are Egyptian exports to Algeria.
The official made these remarks during a meeting organised by Home Textile Export Council to discuss obstacles that face textile industries sector.
He added that ministry’s goal is planned to be achieved through solving problems facing Egyptian products to enter Algerian market.
Fathy invited member firms of the Egyptian export councils to take part in promotional delegation to promote their products in Algeria.
