IDC and Gartner announced this week their worldwide PC market share rankings for the 2nd quarter of 2016. Lenovo maintained its position as the world’s top PC company with 21.2 percent market share. The company continued to outgrow the global PC market, with particularly strong double-digit shipment growth in North America.
On this ocasion, Gianfranco Lanci, President and Chief Operating Officer, Lenovo said: “Our PC business continues to be solid, balancing high market share with strong profitability. The latest quarterly results are a testament to the continued success of our Yoga convertibles, ThinkPad X1 family, detachables and Y series gaming portfolio. But we won’t rest on our laurels. Through customer-centric innovation and breakthrough products, we are focused on our 30 percent worldwide PC market share goal.”
