Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development studies to offer the second phase of Social housing Project in a tender to select a suitable contracting company to implement the project.
The project consists of 21,000 housing units, spread over the new cities participating in the project, according to modern building and constructing systems which relies on the use of heavy walls and precast concrete, as a step to ensure a lower cost as well as quick implementation.
The total investment value of the project reaches EGP 2 billion.
Eng. Amin Abdel-Moneim, Vice President of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), said Construction process will be delegated to about 22 companies, pointing out that the systems of modern construction may require the use of foreign specialized developers expertise.
Abdel-Moneim added that more than 1000 unit with an area of 75 meter each, will be handled by each company.
He refers that the ministry of housing to announce a tender for the 21,000 unit within few days.
