Egyptian Industry Minister Tarek Qabil met Saturday with a delegation from Japanese engineering company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to showcase projects that the company plans to establish in Egypt within the coming period.
Qabil stated that this meeting comes to follow up projects that Mitsubishi offered during Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s visit to Japan in April 2016.
Mitsubishi offered executing projects in fields of power plants, steel and iron, in addition to shipyards.
During the meeting officials of the Japanese firm discussed latest studies about their future projects in Egypt, ways of executing them, in addition to their vision, the minister stated.
About opening a regional office in Egypt, Qabil pointed out that this step would enhance Mitsubishi ‘s investments in the Egyptian markets within the coming period.
On other side, the Japanese mission emphasised on its keenness to establish a number of developmental projects in Egypt since it is a fundamental market in the Middle East and Africa.
