Chamber of Chemical Industries at Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) plans boosting plastics exports by 15 percent by the end of 2016.
Head of plastics division at the chamber, Khaled Abu El Makarem told Amwal Al Ghad Monday that exports of plastics sector dropped by 1 percent during the first half of 2016.
This decline was due to the drop in global oil prices that led exports value to fell, the official added.
Abu El Makarem clarified that the planned 15 percent-increase is set to be achieved through the efforts exerted by state’s Chemical Export Council (CEC) to promote sector’s exports and open new markets in Africa and Russia within the coming period.
