Facebook CTO Is Leaving: Report

Facebook Inc.’s FB +6.09%  chief technology officer, Bret Taylor, is leaving the company, the AllThingsD blog reported Friday. Taylor plans to join a start-up, the blog said.according to MarketWatch.

Taylor was quoted as saying in an interview: “I had always been up front with Mark that I eventually wanted to do another start-up.” He added that he and Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg “felt it was the best time after the IPO and the launch of some recent things for me to do that.” Facebook went public on May 18.
