Egypt’s largest listed lender, Commercial International Bank (CIB) has been named as the most valuable banking brand in the country, according to The Banker Magazine’s Top 500 Banking Brands list.
CIB reached a remarkable achievement in the 2017 rankings, the bank brand value had a significant uptick from $313 million to $449 million, hitting a growth rate of 43 percent.
The bank has been also ranked sixth in the most valuable banking brand in Africa, while on the global sphere, it ranked 269th, leaping up 57 places from 2016 ranking, the magazine’s list showed.
The Banker magazine is an affiliate to the internationally acclaimed Financial Times newspaper.
