The trade exchange between Egypt and Belarus reached $57.8 million during 2016, Belarusian Ambassador to Cairo Sergei Rachkov said Tuesday.
Rachkov stated that trade exchange includes Belarusian exports to Egypt of $43.35 million, while the value of exchange had doubled during the period from January to April 2017.
During 2016, Egypt has imported metal and petrochemicals products as well as tractors, x-ray machines and spare parts from Belarus, the Belarusian official further added.
In the same year, Belarus has imported citrus, pharmaceuticals, fresh and frozen vegetables and fruits, in addition to garments, monitors, tea, coffee, synthetic fibres, paints, and linens, he said.
Egypt signed a month earlier an agreement to receive the first batch of rye flour from Belarus, Rachkov noted.
