The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) administration has announced that Monday 23/07/2012 is an official holiday on the occasion of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, which is known as 23 July Revolution. EGX will resume trading on Tuesday 24/07/2012.
Since the beginning of 2012, EGX has halted trading on various 9 occasions; Egypt’s new fiscal year 01/07/2012, Labor Day 02/05/2012, Sinai Liberation Day 25/05/2012, Easters and Sham El-Nessim 15/04/2012 and 16/06/2012, Birthday of Prophet Mohamed 05/04/2012, 25 January Revolution 25/01/2012, and Christmas 07/01/2012.
EGX has halted trading for 2 sessions on the parliamentary and presidential elections.
