Egypt’s Glass Exports 4% Up By End of May

Egypt’s glass products exports have reached EGP 720 million by the end of May 2012, 4% higher. Noting that the exports had hit EGP 692.3 million by the end of May 2011.

According to a report issued by the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), the glass exports have been mainly to China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Sudan and Libya.

Additionally, GOEIC’s report has also mentioned that the top glass exporter was Asfour Crystal as its exports reached EGP 510 million. Misr Glass Manufacturing Co. (MGM) (MGMC:CA) has come second as its exports amounted to EGP 40.6 million. El Wady For Glass Containers ranked third having exports reached EGP 18 million.
