Egyptian bourse opens Monday in green
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up on the back of blue-chip stocks.
By 10:11 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.07 percent, to 16,406.10 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.43 percent to 816 points, while the EGX100 index edged up 0.26 percent to 2,070 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.17 percent to 2,787 points.
Trading volume on stocks amounted to around 7.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 37.5 million pounds through 859 transactions.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 0.01 percent to 86 pounds, with a turnover of 4.3 million pounds.
