Egyptian exports to the world recorded EGP 65.6 billion in H1 of 2012, retreated by 4%; compared to EGP 68.5 billion in 2011. A report issued by General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), Amwal Al Ghad got a copy, showed that the exports volume represents 41% of the targeted export outcome in the annual strategic plan for doubling the exports which represent EGP 160 billion in 2012. The report elaborated that Saudi Arabia comes first of the countries which imports Egyptian production with EGP 6.2 billion; followed by the USA with EGP 4.4 billion, Libya came third with EGP 4.4 billion, and Italy with EGP 3.9 billion. The report showed that building materials are the highest exporting with EGP 15 billion, chemical industries and fertilizer came second with EGP 14.4 billion, while the food industries came third with EGP 8.8 billion, the engineering industries with EGP 7.2 billion, agricultural crops with EGP 6.4 billion, and the ready-made clothes with EGP 4.2 billion.
