Egypt’s Shahid Law Firm eyes new Africa expansions
Shahid Law Firm aims to expand its legal advising businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa and some countries in the eastern region of the continent in the coming period, its managing partner said on Thursday.
Shahid became last year the first major Egyptian law firm to expand into the East African region after signing an affiliation agreement with an Ethiopian major law firm, Meseret and Associates Law Office.
“We aim to expand our services in the African market, in East African and Sub-Saharan Africa regions, encourage by expectations of growing investment opportunities in these areas due to high population density and current investment chances in sectors of infrastructure, food, and healthcare,” Girgis Abd El Shahid told Amwal Al Ghad.
Shahid is conducting studies to expand in Libya and Sudan to serve clients living in these countries, Abd El Shahid said.
