Business Forum on Water, Energy, Waste, and Mobility to open Sunday in Cairo
The Business Forum on Water, Energy, Waste, and Mobility will open in Cairo on Sunday under the theme of “Italy and Egypt partnership in green technologies for a sustainable growth and better life.”
Ministers Amr Nassar of Trade and Yasmine Fouad of Environment and Italian Ambassador in Cairo Giampaolo Cantini will inaugurate the two-day event.
The forum is organised by the Italian embassy in Cairo in tandem with Ecomondo, the leading Italian expo for green and circular economy.
The first thematic session will discuss water management, wastewater treatment and re-use of water. It will also review water desalination and improvement of the urban water cycle.
The second thematic session will tackle sustainable transport with an aim to reduce pollutant emissions and improve air quality.
It will also discuss assessment of alternative fuels available nowadays to supply energy for land and water transportation, with a special focus on compressed or liquefied natural gas: the current state of art in Italy towards the Mediterranean Region. It will also review raw material, technologies, supply, distribution networks and environmental aspects.
The third thematic session will address the role of renewable sources in the global energy transformation, especially solar energy, innovative machinery and change solutions. It will also tackle smart management of power grids, electrochemical energy storage systems and generation of energy from renewable sources.
