Egypt aims to grow construction companies business volume by tenfold – minister
Egypt’s Public Business Sector Ministry is currently working on restructuring its affiliated construction companies a step aims to grow their business volume by 10 times, its minister Hisham Tawfik said on Sunday.
The ministry also seeks to list its affiliated real estate companies on the Egyptian stock exchange as part of government initial public offering (IPO) programme, but after the implementation of their restructuring process, he added.
Speaking at the Builders of Egypt Forum that took place in Cairo, Tawfik further urged the Arab and African construction federations to create strategic partnerships to serve the goals of the comprehensive development.
Builders of Egypt is one of the country’s most prominent construction conference, that has taken place yesterday in Cairo under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Under the rubric Exporting Egypt’s Real Estate and Contracting Services – The New Future of Investments, the fifth edition of the conference saw the participation of more than 500 Egyptian, Arab, and African high-profile officials and business executives.
