APEX Pharma plans EGP 4bln investments in Egypt, Saudi Arabia

Egyptian pharmaceutical company APEX Pharma announced on Sunday plans to build two pharmaceutical factories in Egypt and Saudi Arabia with a total investment of four billion Egyptian pounds during the next year.

The initial investment for the new plant in Egypt will cost over one billion pounds, which is projected to reach between two billion pounds and three billion pounds within three years, Magdy Elba, chairman of APEX Pharma, said.

Elba noted that “APEX’s goal currently is to complete all necessary procedures and have the Saudi factory operational by mid-2024, although the process has encountered delays attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
