Asian markets briefing 02/05/2023

The Asian markets closed high today, with the Japanese main index, Nikkei 225, rising by 0.12 percent to 29,157.95. The index gained 34.77 points, recording a day high value of 29,278.80 and a day low value of 29,083.13.

HSI, Hong Kong’s main index, climbed by 0.51 percent to 19,938.36, gaining 43.79 points. It recorded a day high value of 20,286.46 and a day low value of 19,761.13.

The Chinese market did not trade today.
