Austria’s Kronospan to build wood panel factory in Egypt – GAFI

The Austrian-based wood panels manufacturer Kronospan is eyeing establishing a wood panel factory in Egypt, according to the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI)  statement on Sunday.

The factory will span over an area of 100,000-square-meter, the statement added. It also said that the factory might create up to 100 job opportunities. The project is seeking to meet the Egyptian market’s demand and turn export at a later stage of production.

The announcement was made during a meeting between GAFI’s Deputy CEO Amr Noureldin and Kronospan’s CEO Oana Bodea, along with Kronospan’s delegation to discuss the new investments of the company in Egypt.
