Barcelona requires €20 million to transfer Aubameyang to Chelsea
Barcelona will require a big fee from Chelsea for transferring the player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang even though he joined the club on a free transfer earlier this year, according to reports on Sunday.
“Barcelona’s management sees the player’s transfer as the most appropriate way to fund Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva’s deal” Spanish newspaper Mondpo Deportivo wrote.
The newspaper added that the addition of Robert Lewandowski is reducing Aubameyang’s playing time with Barcelona. Moreover, the Catalan giant is keen on transferring many players so that they can save on the wage bill to register new signings.
Barcelona have rejected Chelsea’s first offer to transfer Aubameyang for €14 million. Barcelona required at least €20 million to give up the Gabonese.
Aubameyang has scored 13 goals in 23 matches for Barcelona and three years remain on his current contract.
