BREAKING: Debris ‘spotted near where EgyptAir plane disappeared’

Two large plastic floating objects have been spotted about 50 miles south-east of where EgyptAir flight MS804 dropped off the radar, Reuters reported a Greek defence source as saying.

A Greek frigate searching for the plane reportedly found the large plastic objects floating in a sea 230 miles south of Crete.

The two objects appeared to be pieces of plastic in white and red. They were spotted close to an area where a transponder signal was emitted earlier, the sources said.

Greek state TV has also claimed debris has been found south of the island of Karpathos.
